Jammu, Oct. 25 -- To facilitate passengers and ensure comfortable travel, the Jammu Division of Northern Railway conducted special ticket checking drives at all railway stations and collected a fine of more than Rs 32 lakhs in ten days of festival season.
The railway PRO said that the drives conducted under the leadership of Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Uchit Singhal played a crucial role in improving passenger convenience and increasing revenue.
During the festive season, as per the handout, ticket checking drives were conducted daily in the division to provide better passenger convenience and prevent illegal travel.
