Jammu, Aug. 28 -- The festival symbolising the sacred bond between brothers and sisters, 'Raksha Bandhan', was on Friday celebrated with traditional fervour across Jammu region.
To mark the occasion, sisters tied 'Rakhis' on their brothers' wrists as a symbol of protection and affection. Besides, sisters offered sweets and gifts to their brothers as token of love.
In turn, brothers also presented gifts to their sisters and promised to protect them from all the problems in life.
Jammu city witnessed hustle bustle and markets were abuzz with activities with girls and women buying colourful Rakhis and gifts for their brothers.
Sweets and gifts outlets also saw a huge rush of customers.
