Chandigarh, Aug. 28 -- A 54-year-old woman worker died after her scarf got caught in a machine at a factory in Jalandhar's Noorpur village, with her family alleging that employees were working without adequate safety equipment.
The incident took place at the factory falling under the Maqsudan police station area. The woman, identified as Archana Kumari, was working on the machine when her scarf became entangled, pulling her towards the moving equipment.
The injuries were fatal. Archana died at the spot before she could be taken for medical treatment.
