Lucknow, Jan. 20 -- A 500-km long journey by women along the Yamuna river will begin on January 29 from Panchnad in western UP's Jalaun-Etawah, marking a major milestone in 'Jal Sahelis' (acqua allies) decade-long campaign in the Bundelkhand region.

The organization has played a significant role in reviving six dried-up rivers in the region, as well as saving and restoring thousands of ponds. Their work has been widely appreciated in the country and abroad.

The Jal Sahelis' objective is to raise awareness among people about the Yamuna and its uninterrupted flow, connecting each section of society with the campaign.
