New Delhi, Feb. 28 -- A Special CBI Court in Jaipur has awarded ten years of rigorous imprisonment to three persons including two LIC officials and one private individual, in connection with a fraud case.

The court also imposed fines on the accused.

The court sentenced Mahendra Kumar Jain, Bhupesh Tagore, and Abhilasha Jain (a private person). A fine of Rs. 1.46 lakh each was imposed on Abhilasha Jain and Mahendra Kumar Jain, while Bhupesh Tagore was fined Rs. 1.21 lakh.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered the case in 2010 against Mahendra Kumar Jain, the then Higher Grade Assistant at Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) Unit-II, Kota, and two others.
