Shimla, May 21 -- Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur on Thursday welcomed the interim relief granted by the Himachal Pradesh High Court against certain decisions of the state government and accused the Congress government led by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu of pursuing "anti-people" and "unconstitutional" policies.
In a statement issued from Mandi, Jai Ram Thakur alleged that the Sukhu government was attempting to shield corruption and impose arbitrary decisions on the people, but was repeatedly facing judicial intervention due to a lack of legal and constitutional basis in its policies.
