New Delhi, June 28 -- Diversified conglomerate ITC has expanded its farm forestry programme into new catchment areas and achieved its highest-ever plantation coverage of around 66,000 hectares during FY26, strengthening long-term fibre security for its Paperboards and Speciality Papers business while supporting sustainable livelihoods for thousands of farmers.

According to the company's Annual Report 2025-26, the business continued to procure wood-a key raw material-from sustainable sources, backed by research in high-yielding and disease-resistant clonal saplings that are adaptable to diverse agro-climatic conditions. The initiative has helped improve farmer productivity and ensure more stable incomes.
