Chennai, April 22 -- Stoutly denying as false and misleading, the charges made by TNCC President and Sriperumbudur (R) Assembly candidate K Selvaperunthagai that he was unlawfully confined under the pretext of 'search' operations on April 20, the Income-Tax department has filed a complaint with the Election Commission of India (ECI) and the Chennai Greater Chennai City Police Commissioner demanding legal action against him for his defamatory allegations against a government department.
