Sriharikota, Sept. 4 -- Marking a significant moment after the failure of PSLV and in its first mission in seven months, India'sheavy lift rocket GSLV-F17, successfully injected the advanced Earth Observation Satellite EOS-05 in the intended orbit, amid rains.
After a smooth 27.5 hr countdown and after a perfect lift off off at 0255 hrs from the all weather proof Second Launch Pad from the SHAR Range here, lighting up the dark early morning skies, the rocket placed the satellite in the orbit after a flight duration of about 18-19 minutes.
"GSLV-F17/EOS Mission has been successfully accomplished", ISRO said in a social media post.
