Chennai, March 1 -- The Tamil Nadu government has set up 24x7 control rooms for the benefit of Tamils living in the Gulf region in the wake of Israel and US war strikes against Iran and appealed to them to avoid unnecessary travel and follow the advisories issued by the Indian High Commission.

In a statement here, Chief Minister M K Stalin said the state government was ready and fully prepared to extend all possible assistance to the Tamils living in the Gulf region and ensure their safety.

While expressing concern over the safety of Tamils in the wake of US-Israel air strikes on Iran, he has directed the Commissionerate of Rehabilitation and Welfare of Non-Resident Tamils to extend all help to the Tamils living in the affected nations. ...
