Gaza, Aug. 2 -- At least 11 Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip on Sunday, as Israel continued military operations despite US President Donald Trump's announcement of a breakthrough in efforts to implement last year's Gaza ceasefire agreement.
The latest fatalities included two people killed when an Israeli strike hit a car in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, taking Sunday's death toll to at least 11.
Earlier, Palestinian health officials said Israeli warplanes carried out separate strikes in Gaza City, Deir al-Balah and Khan Younis, killing at least nine people.
