Jerusalem, Oct. 24 -- Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu, following scathing criticism from US President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance over the Knesset's preliminary vote approving the annexation of parts of the West Bank, dismissed the move, calling it a "deliberate political provocation by the opposition" to sow discord during Vance's visit to Israel.

In a statement issued in English, the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) said that the two bills were introduced by opposition lawmakers and did not reflect Jerusalem's official position.
