Jerusalem/ Beirut, June 27 -- Israel and Lebanon signed a US-brokered framework agreement in Washington in a bid to end the IDF's occupation of southern Lebanon, but how much of the treaty can be implemented remains under question, given the presence of Hezbollah militants and their heavy influence in the country.

The agreement, signed on Friday, follows four days of negotiations facilitated by Washington and outlines a pathway towards a future peace settlement between the two countries.
