Ankara, July 7 -- US President Donald Trump on Tuesday signalling his willignness to consider allowing Turkiye back into the F-35 fighter jet programme and selling it to the Turkish Air Force has invited sharp criticism from Israel and the US Congress.

Speaking alongside Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the NATO summit in Ankara, Trump suggested he was open to the idea of supplying the fifth gen-fighter jet aircraft to Turkiye despite longstanding objections from both within the US government and key allies, particularly Israel.
