Tehran, Sept. 21 -- The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) declared that it "has prepared itself for a long-term war" with the US and is now "more prepared than before," said its spokesman Hossein Mohebbi today.
Mohebbi described what he called a "historical and disgraceful defeat" for the US, arguing that Washington had suffered strategic setbacks in several areas, including its failure to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, vulnerabilities at its military bases and intelligence facilities across the region, and the performance of US military technology against Iranian capabilities, reported Iran's semi-official Mehr News agency.
