New Delhi, June 29 -- Less than 24 hours after guiding Ireland to a historic maiden T20I series victory over India, head coach Heinrich Malan announced on Monday that he will step down from his role.
Malan, whose contract was due to run until early 2027, informed the players and support staff that he would leave as part of a planned transition ahead of the next ICC ODI World Cup cycle. The South African took charge in March 2022 after replacing Graham Ford and oversaw one of the most successful periods in Irish men's cricket.
