Tehran, Sept. 23 -- Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said on Wednesday that Tehran was willing to negotiate with the US but would not accept pressure, threats or the "language of force" as he addressed the UN General Assembly.
"The resistance of the Iranian people will only increase in the face of sanctions, pressure, and increased bullying," Pezeshkian said.
Referring to US President Donald Trump, he added "Iran must be understood by Trump. We are ready for dialogue and diplomacy and negotiations without accepting the language of force."Pezeshkian also addressed the Strait of Hormuz, a key route for global energy shipments that has been at the centre of the conflict between Iran and the US.
