Tel Aviv/Washington, March 24 -- Iranian missile strikes caused significant damage in Tel Aviv early Tuesday, as conflicting signals from Donald Trump and Iran over possible talks added fresh uncertainty to the escalating West Asia conflict.

Israeli authorities said Iran launched seven waves of missiles in less than 10 hours since midnight, with multiple impact sites reported in central Israel, including Tel Aviv. Visuals from the city showed damaged buildings, burning vehicles and thick plumes of smoke, as emergency teams rushed to affected areas, US media reported.

Air raid sirens also sounded in Dimona, near the sensitive Negev Nuclear Research Center, underscoring the widening scale of the attacks.
