Tehran/Kyiv, Aug. 3 -- Iran has warned it will take 'necessary measures' against Ukraine following Kyiv's attack on an Iranian commercial vessel in the Caspian Sea last month, accusing the country of carrying out a deliberate strike though Ukrainian claims that the incident was accidental.

Speaking on Monday, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said Tehran had listened to Ukraine's explanation for the July 25 attack but remained unconvinced.

"Ukrainian officials... stressed that the incident was unintentional," Baghaei said. "However, the evidence and circumstances are quite clear. Among them are the explicit statements made by the President of Ukraine, which indicate that the attack was deliberate."The strike reportedly ...
