Tehran, Aug. 26 -- Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said Wednesday that pursuit of diplomacy and holding talks with the US in the midst of war should not be looked upon as abandonment of the principles of resistance.
Responding to criticism from Hossein Shariatmadari, editor-in-chief of the hardline Kayhan newspaper, Ghalibaf wrote that negotiation was neither inherently good nor bad, nor something that should be treated as taboo.
"Negotiation, in my view, has neither intrinsic value nor is it a taboo; it is neither absolutely good nor absolutely evil," he said, according to Iran's state-run IRNA news agency.
