New Delhi, Oct. 24 -- Iran's parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf will not attend the 12th BRICS Parliamentary Forum scheduled to be held in New Delhi on October 26 and 27 due to "unforeseen circumstances", the Iranian Embassy said on Saturday.
However, the Iranian parliamentary delegation will participate in the meeting, the embassy said in a statement posted on X.
Iran reaffirmed its commitment to active participation in BRICS summits and meetings, adding that its delegation would continue dialogue and consultations with representatives of member countries to strengthen bilateral and multilateral cooperation, particularly in parliamentary relations.
