Moscow, Jan. 20 -- Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has detained 132 people accused of organising unrest in the western province of Lorestan, the Tasnim news agency reported on Monday, IRGC said.
Tasnim said the IRGC also carried out coordinated operations on Monday in four other provinces, Yazd, Semnan, Rafsanjan and Sirjan, located in central and southern Iran, targeting what it described as leaders of the unrest.
Separately, Iran's national police chief, Ahmad Reza Radan said authorities had restored security in cities affected by recent protests. He added that law enforcement agencies would continue efforts to identify and arrest those involved in what he termed criminal acts during the unrest.
