Tehran, July 22 -- Iran fired missiles and drones at Jordan on Wednesday, targeting multiple areas including the Red Sea port of Aqaba, with Amman saying that it intercepted four Iranian ballistic missiles and four drones during the attack. Two additional missiles landed in uninhabited areas, though no casualties or major damage was reported.

Additionally, missile warning sirens echoed across Aqaba, while explosions from the interceptions were heard in the nearby Israeli port city of Eilat, with videos filmed from the city showcasing plumes of smoke rising over the Jordanian city.

The latest attack came as Washington carried out its 11th consecutive night of air strikes against Tehran.
