Tehran, May 28 -- Iranian state media claimed on Thursday that the overnight US strikes near the Strait of Hormuz caused no damage, after CENTCOM said it had carried out what it described as "purely defensive" operations against Iranian drones.
As per CENTCOM, Iranian forces had launched five one-way attack drones that posed "a clear threat in and near the Strait of Hormuz".
The US military claimed that it had intercepted all five drones, and American forces also prevented a sixth launch from an Iranian ground control site in Bandar Abbas.
