Tehran, May 17 -- Iran has accused the United States and Israel of fuelling instability in global energy markets, with Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei alleging that Washington and Tel Aviv were attempting to justify what he described as an illegal "war of choice" against Tehran.
In a strong-worded criticism of the US, Baqaei rejected assertions made by the U.S. and Israel, calling their attack on Tehran is aimed at preserving peace and stability in global energy markets, saying their military actions had instead disrupted diplomatic efforts and endangered vital energy routes.
