Tehran, July 12 -- Iran and Oman have agreed to continue consultations on the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said on Sunday.
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz until what it described as the end of US interference in the region, stating that no vessels would be allowed to pass.
On Saturday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi arrived in Oman for talks on the situation in the strategic waterway.
