Tehran, Aug. 24 -- Iran and China have significant potential to help build a fairer international order and strengthen multilateralism, peace and stability, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said.

In an article marking 55 years of diplomatic ties between the two countries, Araghchi said Tehran-Beijing relations had entered a "new, dynamic and consequential phase" under their comprehensive strategic partnership, with cooperation deepening despite Western sanctions and what he described as mounting regional and international pressure on Iran.

"Relying on the strong will of the leaders of the two countries and the continuation of mutual trust, we seek to open a new chapter of prosperity," Araghchi wrote in an Iranian newspaper.
