Bhubaneswar, May 31 -- In a first for Odisha, IPS officer Ananya Awasthi has been appointed as the Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati, becoming the first woman to serve in the prestigious position.
A formal induction ceremony was held at Lok Bhavan today, where Governor Kambhampati welcomed Ms Awasthi to her new assignment as the Police ADC. Senior officials of the Governor's Secretariat attended the ceremony.
Ms Awasthi, who was serving as Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) in the Urban Police District, Cuttack, takes over from IPS officer Kuldeep Meena, who previously held the post.
