Mullanpur, March 31 -- Gujarat Titans skipper Shubman Gill expressed confidence in batting conditions after Punjab Kings won the toss and elected to field against his side in their IPL clash, noting that the pitch looked "pretty good" despite intermittent rain over the past two days.
Gill said the surface appeared favourable for batting and recalled his team's strong showing last season.
He also highlighted the inclusion of debutant Ashok Sharma, while underlining the importance of experienced overseas players such as Jos Buttler, Glenn Maxwell, Rashid Khan and Kagiso Rabada.
Referring to Jos Buttler, Gill said the seasoned campaigner's experience would be vital, expressing confidence that he would deliver a strong season.
