Chennai, April 10 -- In a significant measure to stabilize the regional energy market, the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) on Friday announced increase of commercial LPG quota for Tamil Nadu to 70% of original levels, with immediate effecti.
Following a detailed review of the state's fuel status, IOCL Chairman A S Sahney assured the public that the supply of petrol, diesel, and aviation fuel remains "absolutely comfortable," with refining capacities operating at near full levels.
He emphasized that domestic LPG remains the top priority, with Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) currently meeting 100% of the state's daily demand of approximately five lakh cylinders.
