Imphal, April 18 -- The Government of Manipur on Saturday announced the restoration of mobile internet services in five districts with immediate effect, bringing relief to residents and essential service providers.
The decision comes after a review of the prevailing law and order situation and the inconveniences faced by the public during the recent suspension.
M Veto, Joint Secretary, Home said the temporary suspension of mobile internet and mobile data services, including VPN services, has been revoked in the districts of Imphal West, Imphal East, Thoubal, Kakching, and Bishnupur.
The restoration is aimed at easing disruptions in daily life, particularly for institutions and services that depend heavily on internet connectivity.
