International Indian para-athlete murdered by his fellow athlete in Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad, May 31 -- International Indian para-athlete Chirag Tyagi was shot dead in Ghaziabad on Saturday.

Chirag was murdered by fellow athlete Yash Khatik. At the time of the incident, Chirag was returning home after winning gold at the Indian Open Para Athletics International Championships in Bengaluru. This victory had qualified him for the Asian Para Games.

Chirag's body was found in Sai Upvan in the Hindon area. He had a bullet wound on his back. Chirag Tyagi was a resident of Ghaziabad. He competed in the 100 and 400 meter races. Chirag brought glory to the country with his outstanding performances on national and international platforms.
