Shimla, Feb. 19 -- Light snowfall and rain were reported at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh over the past 24 hours, while most parts of the state remained under clouds that helped ease the cold wave conditions.
According to the Meteorological Centre, Shimla, Manali recorded 1.0 mm of rainfall.
Tourist resorts, including Manali, Solan and surrounding areas, witnessed light drizzle, bringing a chill but no major disruption to normal life. Snowfall was confined to one or two high reaches, though no significant accumulation of snow was recorded.
The cold wave has largely subsided as night temperature improved across the plains and mid-hills due to cloud cover.
