New Delhi, July 4 -- Delhi's Power Minister Ashish Sood on Friday said that the interim stay order by the Supreme Court in the CAG audit matter regarding the power distribution companies is a procedural order intended to preserve the status quo until the legal issues are examined in detail.
He observed that it is neither a final verdict on the merits of the case, nor a clean chit to the private power distribution companies (DISCOMs).
Sood said that the apex court has fixed the matter for hearing on July 15, where the legal framework governing the audit mechanism will be examined.
