Srinagar, April 17 -- The Awami Itihaad Party, led by jailed Baramulla MP Engineer Rashid, today said that it has filed an application seeking interim bail for the incarcerated leader, citing the critical health condition of his father, Khazir Mohammad Sheikh, who is currently on ventilator support.
Expressing deep concern, AIP Chief Spokesperson Inam Nabi that an interim bail application has been filed before the competent court, seeking permission for Er Rashid to visit his critically ill father.
"We are hopeful that the Court will take a compassionate and humanitarian view of the situation, considering the gravity and urgency involved," he said.
