Shimla, June 7 -- Shimla Police have arrested an alleged drug supplier from Punjab in connection with a heroin trafficking case registered at Boileuganj police station,in Himachal Pradesh unraveling a wider inter-state narcotics network through analysis of digital and financial evidence.

Police said the breakthrough came during investigation of FIR registered on May 22 under Sections 21 and 29 of the NDPS Act, after a police team recovered 30.35 grams of chitta (heroin) from four accused persons.

The accused were identified as Gurpreet Singh (28), a resident of Moga district, Sandeep (32) of Bathinda district, and Lakhveer Singh (25) and Kewal Singh (25), both residents of Moga district in Punjab.
