Vijayawada, Jan. 7 -- Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary K Vijayanand said on Wednesday that the Insurance Regulatory and DevelopmentAuthority of India (IRDAI) is working in coordination with the government to achieve the goal of providing insurance coverage to every citizen in the state by 2047.

A meeting of the State Level Insurance Committee (SLIC) was held at the State Secretariat under his chairmanship. The committee discussed the strategies to be adopted to extend insurance coverage to remote areas of the state and to ensure that its benefits reach the common people.
