New Delhi, March 10 -- The Indian Newspaper Society (INS), the organisation of newspaper owners and publishers in the country, expressing serious concern regarding the current situation of domestic newsprint in the country, demanded import of globally acceptable, press compatible, quality newsprint, until the domestic manufacturing capacities are upgraded.
A statement issued on behalf of Vivek Gupta, president, INS, argued that it's not the issue of domestic capacities, but of the quality of the domestic newsprint which is a cause of concern for the newspaper organisations.
