INLD chief Abhay Chautala receives death threat; son files police complaint
Chandigarh, July 16 -- Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) president Abhay Singh Chautala has allegedly received a death threat through a WhatsApp voice note sent to his younger son, Karn Singh Chautala, who is also the zila parishad chairman of Sirsa.
The message, which included abusive language, warned Karn to "keep his father away" or he would be "sent to the same place as the former state president."
Karn Chautala has lodged a formal complaint with Chandigarh's Sector 3 police station. He reported receiving a missed WhatsApp call around 11 pm from an Indian number, followed by a threatening voice note from a UK-based number. The same number also sent messages to Abhay Chautala's private secretary, warning it was the "last notice."
