Agartala, June 26 -- A youth, identified as Shubhrajit Choudhury, died at the Agartala Government Medical College on Friday, succumbing to severe injuries suffered in a devastating blast that occurred yesterday in a flat in Ramnagar area of the city.
Several others were injured in the blast which caused extensive damage to the apartment and surrounding homes, triggering panic in the local community. A gas leak is suspected to have led to the severe explosion.
Chief Minister, Dr Manik Saha, has expressed his heartfelt condolences and has initiated an inquiry into the incident.
