Gadag, March 14 -- Former Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Saturday claimed that the Congress government in the state is heading towards a crisis due to growing internal dissension and competition among MLAs for cabinet berths.

Speaking to reporters, Bommai alleged that factionalism within the ruling party has been intensifying, with different groups of legislators pressing for ministerial positions.
