Mumbai, June 30 -- Kannada filmmaker and journalist Indrajit Lankesh has voiced his support for Deepika Padukone's advocacy of an eight-hour workday in the film industry, describing the proposal as a progressive step that would benefit not only working mothers but actors across the board.
Lankesh, who directed Padukone's first Kannada film, said a balanced working time is essential for actors, especially mothers. He said film production should be planned in such a way that actors do not have to work continuously for long hours and they get adequate rest.
