Jakarta, June 24 -- The Indonesian mixed martial arts (MMA) team won 2 gold, 7 silver, and 5 bronze medals at the 5th GAMMA World Championships U18 & Senior 2025 held in Sao Paulo, Brazil, from June 16 to 22, said Tommy Paulus Hermawan, chairman of the executive board of the Indonesian Mixed Fighting Association.
A total of 17 Indonesian athletes took part in the championship, Hermawan emphasized that this achievement proves how long-term coaching and scientific approaches to sports are bearing fruit,
he also noted that the athletes faced challenges such as cold weather and a 10-hour time difference, but were able to adapt well.
