Manas R. BannerjeeSiliguri, Aug. 1 -- After a gap of nearly six years since the Covid-19 pandemic, border trade between India and China will resume through the Nathu La Pass in Sikkim on August 1, marking the revival of a key trade route between the two countries.
Sikkim Commerce and Industries Department Secretary Ms. Karma Doma said on Friday that all preparations for the reopening have been completed. She credited Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang for pursuing the matter continuously with the Central government to ensure the resumption of trade.
