New Delhi, June 20 -- : A growing number of Indians are using generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) tools to understand medical conditions, treatment options and navigate the healthcare system, according to a new report by consulting firm Bain & Company.
The report was based on surveys of 6,300 consumers across nine Asia-Pacific markets (Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam) and 600 doctors from Australia and the Philippines.
It found that 78% of Indian respondents use GenAI to understand diagnoses and treatment options better. About 73% said they use such tools to prepare for medical appointments, while 72% use them to navigate the healthcare system.
