Bengaluru, March 31 -- An Indian-origin Dutch national was arrested here on Tuesday after allegedly sending a parcel containing rotten tomatoes, garlands and obscene photographs to the post office at Kempegowda International Airport, police said.
The mysterious package, which also included items arranged in a manner that alarmed airport staff, was delivered to the airport's post office and raised concerns among employees.
Police traced the sender to the Dutch national identified as Subash Jai Ajeez and took him into custody. Initial investigations suggested that the accused may have intended the contents of the parcel to "ward off tragedy," and that he could be mentally disturbed, officers said.
