Kochi, June 27 -- Indian Navy's sail training ship INS Sudarshini arrived at the Port of Baltimore, Maryland, on June 26 as part of the landmark transoceanic expedition Lokayan 26, further strengthening maritime ties between India and the United States.

The ship's passage from Norfolk to Baltimore included a transit through the historic Chesapeake & Delaware (C&D) Canal, sailing beneath several iconic Mid-Atlantic bridges before reaching the port, a release said here today.
