Chennai, Jan. 26 -- Indian Bank marked the nation's 77th Republic Day with great enthusiasm at its Corporate Office and Head Office in Chennai todayMr Binod Kumar, MD and CEO, unfurled the National Flag and received a guard of honour from the bank's guards.
In his address, he paid tributes to the martyrs' sacrifices in building a free India and commended the pioneering efforts of the Bank's founders.
As part of its CSR initiatives, the bank provided essential household utilities to ASHRAYA a Short Stay Home for women and children in distress, under the Shakti Sadan Scheme of the Department of Social Welfare Govt of India.
Mr Kumar personally handed over the items to the chairperson of Aashraya.
