Itanagar, Jan. 27 -- The Indian Army successfully conducted the 150-year Vande Mataram commemorative celebrations at the historic Tawang War Memorial in Arunachal Pradesh on Republic Day. The Memorial honours the Indian soldiers who laid down their lives here during the 1962 Sino-Indian war.
The event, organised by the Tawang Brigade, was conducted from Janua15 to 26 to mark 150 years since the composition of the iconic national song, paying homage to India's freedom struggle, cultural heritage and enduring spirit of patriotism.
