New Delhi, Aug. 14 -- Indian Army bands are taking patriotic music beyond traditional military ceremonies, performing at more than 20 prominent locations across 14 States and union Territories ahead of the 80th Independence Day.
According to an Army spokesperson, the musical outreach, being held from August 8 to 15, covers historic monuments, war memorials, public spaces and waterfronts, bringing military music closer to citizens.
Performances have been held at the Taj Mahal in Agra, India Gate in Delhi, Shaurya Sthal in Dehradun, Lalbagh Botanical Garden in Bengaluru, Shaurya Smarak in Bhopal and Shaniwar Wada in Pune, among other locations.
